Net Metering in Gujarat, How Surplus Solar Is Handled

- Surplus units exported to the grid are set off against the units you import.
- For residential consumers, the set-off is done within each billing cycle, and your bill charges only the net consumption.
- If you export more than you import in a billing cycle, the DISCOM buys the surplus at ₹2.25 per unit for the first 5 years from commissioning (then at 75% of the average GUVNL solar bid tariff of the preceding six months), a fixed feed-in tariff for your surplus.
