Solar for offices, shops, hospitals and schools: what you get and what happens next
Commercial solar is a rooftop or ground-mount system that supplies part of the power your premises buy from the DISCOM, so the grid bill falls while the system is generating. Heaven Green Energy, headquartered at Mota Varachha, Surat, designs, installs and maintains these systems for businesses.

What happens next
Send your company, city and monthly bill through the form. A project advisor contacts you, our engineers survey the roof, and you receive a design with the savings projection and financing options.
Commercial, industrial or housing society?
The route to approval, the sizing and the finance differ, so we keep them on separate pages.
Commercial (this page)
Offices, shops, showrooms, hospitals, schools and warehouses. Sizing starts from your monthly bill and the roof you have.
Industrial
Factories and plants billed on maximum demand (MD), with shift-based loads and open-access or captive options. See industrial solar and the industrial estate guides.
Housing societies
Common areas such as lifts, lighting and pumps. PM Surya Ghar support exists for common facilities; the FAQ below has the rates. Start with the Surat society guide or the group net metering guide.
The Business Case
Why Choose Solar for Your Business?
India's commercial electricity tariffs rise 6–8% every year. Solar converts that liability into a 25-year fixed-cost asset, with compelling financial returns.
Significant Cost Savings
Reduce your monthly electricity bills by up to 70%, savings that directly improve your bottom line from day one.
Tax Incentives
Claim 40% accelerated depreciation in Year 1 under the Income Tax Act, one of the highest first-year tax reliefs available for capex.
Reduce Production Cost
Lower energy input costs for manufacturing, cold storage, or operations. Improve margins and stay competitive on pricing.
Flexible Financing
Zero upfront investment with solar loans. Replace your electricity bill with a lower EMI, fully paid off in 4–5 years.
Financing Made Simple
No Upfront Investment Required
You don't need to pay the full system cost out of pocket. Solar-specific loan products from leading PSU and private banks let you spread the cost over 5 years, often at interest rates lower than your current electricity cost growth.
GST-registered businesses can also claim input tax credit on the GST paid (about 8.9% blended on a supply-and-install contract), reducing effective capex immediately. Combined with accelerated depreciation, your net outlay is significantly lower than the sticker price.
Your Solar Journey
Installation Types
Where Can Commercial Solar Be Installed?
Whether your facility has an RCC rooftop, industrial tin shed, or open land, we have the engineering expertise and structural mounts to deliver a high-yield system in any environment.
RCC Roofs
Ideal for manufacturing units, commercial buildings, hospitals, and offices. Heavy-duty galvanised mounting structures with ballasted or drilled anchoring for maximum structural safety and generation yield.
Tin Sheds
Industrial buildings and warehouses with metal sheet roofing. We use specialised clamp-based mounting systems that require no roof penetration, preserving your waterproofing and structural integrity.
Open Spaces
Ground-mount systems for factories and industrial parks with available land. Optimal tilt angles, higher yield than rooftop, and easily scalable to multi-MW capacity for high-consumption facilities.

What decides the cost of a business solar system
These are the factors that move a quote, not prices. Your proposal puts a number on each one, based on your bills and your roof.
Load and tariff slab
Your daytime consumption and the tariff you pay set the system size that makes sense. We read this from your actual bills.
Roof type
RCC roofs take ballasted or drilled mounts, and tin sheds take clamp-based mounts. Structure, access and shadow are checked at the survey.
Approvals and net metering
DISCOM approval, net-metering limits and banking rules are set by your state regulator and differ by state.
GST and tax
5% GST on solar systems since 22 September 2025, about 8.9% blended on a supply-and-install contract. GST-registered businesses can claim input tax credit. See the GST guide.
Accelerated depreciation
Owning the asset can bring a first-year tax benefit that lowers the net outlay. The accelerated depreciation guide explains who qualifies.
Financing
A solar loan or zero-capex route changes cash flow, not the system cost. See solar financing for businesses.
Estimate savings in the calculator
In the calculator, set "PM Surya Ghar Subsidy?" to "No / Commercial".
