Price, size and savings Find your bill. Read across.
Most Vapi solar pages quote a national average or hide the number behind a callback form. This table answers it outright. Find your monthly bill in the left column, then read across for size, generation, roof area and cost after subsidy.
Indicative Vapi market ranges for 2026, covering Tier-1 modules, a branded inverter, galvanised structure, protection and installation. These are not a Heaven Green Energy quotation. Subsidy amounts are the central PM Surya Ghar figures published on pmsuryaghar.gov.in. Generation assumes a shadow-free, roughly south-facing roof.
Size against units, not rupees. Read the units figure off your DGVCL bill rather than the amount payable, because units are what a solar system cancels. The roof column says shadow-free for a reason. Overhead tanks, lift rooms and a neighbour's parapet all steal output. On the tight plots around Imran Nagar and Chala, an elevated structure usually pays for its extra steel inside two summers.
The 3 kW cliff decides most residential sizing. PM Surya Ghar pays nothing above the third kilowatt, so the subsidy covers a large share of a 3 kW system and a small share of a 10 kW one. If your bill sits on the boundary, 3 kW returns more rupees per rupee spent.
A cheap Vapi quote is cheap in the structure, not the panels. This is a coastal town inside a chemical estate, so galvanising thickness, fastener grade, cable gauge and earthing are not optional line items. Ask every vendor for a written Bill of Materials naming make, model and quantity, and ask specifically what corrosion protection the mounting structure carries. Without that sheet you are comparing two numbers, not two systems.
Roof type changes the price inside every band. A flat RCC terrace in Chala is the cheapest case. A sloped metal shed in GIDC needs different clamps and a purlin check. A terrace four floors up with no lift access adds labour and hoisting that no online calculator knows about. When two Vapi quotes differ by forty thousand rupees on the same system size, the reason usually sits in those three lines rather than in the modules. Ask the surveyor which one applies to your roof and what it added.
Why there is no rupee saving in that table
There is no rupee saving in that table, deliberately. The rupee figure depends on the tariff slab you personally pay, printed on your own DGVCL bill. It differs between a residential connection in Chala and a commercial one in GIDC. We will not guess it. Bring your last bill to the free survey and we will work the number out with you, in front of you. Any Vapi vendor quoting you a lifetime savings figure before reading your bill has invented it.
