The short answer

Rooftop solar in Navsari costs roughly ₹1.80 lakh to ₹2.25 lakh for 3 kW before subsidy, and ₹1.02 lakh to ₹1.47 lakh after the ₹78,000 PM Surya Ghar subsidy. Each installed kilowatt yields 4 to 4.5 units a day. Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Limited, DGVCL, is the Navsari distribution licensee and approves net metering. Residential payback runs three and a half to five years.

Price, size and savings

Find your bill. Read across.

Most Navsari solar pages hide the price behind a callback form or quote an all-India average. This table states it plainly. Find your monthly bill in the left column, then read across for system size, generation, roof area, payback and what you pay after subsidy.

These are indicative Navsari market ranges for 2026 covering Tier-1 modules, a branded inverter, a galvanised mounting structure, protection gear and installation. They are not a Heaven Green Energy quotation. Subsidy figures are the central PM Surya Ghar amounts published on pmsuryaghar.gov.in. Generation assumes a shadow-free, roughly south-facing roof.

Size against units, not rupees. Take the units consumed from your DGVCL bill rather than the amount payable. Units are what an array cancels. The rupee figure moves with slab, fuel charge and duty, so it is a poor sizing input. A Navsari household drawing 430 units in May and 180 in January should be sized on the annual total, not on the worst bill of the year.

The subsidy stops climbing after 3 kW. PM Surya Ghar pays ₹30,000 for each of the first two kilowatts and ₹18,000 for the third, then nothing above that. It covers about a third of a 3 kW system and roughly an eighth of a 10 kW one. On a borderline bill, 3 kW returns more for every rupee you spend.

A cheap Navsari quote is cheap in the steel and the sealing. This district gets a long, heavy monsoon and carries salt in the air off the coast at Dandi and Ubhrat. The saving in an underpriced quote almost never sits in the panel. It sits in thin structure, light galvanising, unsealed cable glands and junction boxes that let water in by the second wet season. Ask what the structure weighs and how it is coated before you compare two prices.

Why there is no rupee saving in that table

We do not print a rupee saving on this page. Your saving depends on your tariff category, your slab, how much you draw after sunset and how much you export to DGVCL. A figure invented for a generic Navsari household would be wrong for yours. Bring your last bill to the survey and we will work it out against your own twelve months of consumption. Prefer to work it out yourself first? Put your bill into our solar savings calculator. No phone number required.

PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana

₹78,000

Maximum central subsidy for a residential rooftop system.

  • ₹30,000 per kW for the first 2 kW
  • ₹18,000 for the 3rd kW
  • Nothing paid above 3 kW
  • Credited directly to your bank account
  • We file the entire claim for you
How the subsidy works

Five steps, and we run four of them.

PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana pays up to ₹78,000 to residential consumers. The amount in Navsari is the amount in Delhi, because it is a central scheme and not a Gujarat one. We file it, track it and chase it, so the credit reaches your bank account rather than a pending queue.

1

Register on the national portal

Your consumer number, printed on the DGVCL bill, and your mobile number open registration on pmsuryaghar.gov.in. We complete this for you so the consumer name and number match DGVCL records exactly. Mismatches are where most files stall.

2

Get feasibility approval from DGVCL

Dakshin Gujarat Vij checks that your sanctioned load, phase and local transformer can carry the proposed system. Approval usually returns within a week or two. Nothing should reach your roof before that sanction arrives in writing.

3

Install with an empanelled vendor

The subsidy pays only against a vendor registered on the portal using DCR-compliant modules. Heaven Green Energy is empanelled. We install Adani Solar modules with our own Qbits inverters and log every serial number on the portal.

4

Net meter and commissioning

DGVCL inspects the installation, replaces your meter with a bidirectional one and issues the commissioning certificate. That certificate, not the installation date, is what triggers the subsidy claim. Chase it, do not wait for it.

5

Bank details and credit

You upload a cancelled cheque and bank details on the portal. The subsidy is credited straight to that account, typically within about 30 days of commissioning. We keep following the file until the money actually shows.

If you are a business, this section does not apply

Businesses cannot claim PM Surya Ghar. A Navsari shop, a Kabilpore GIDC unit, a diamond workshop, a cold store or a trust-run school takes accelerated depreciation on the asset instead. For many commercial consumers that is worth more than ₹78,000. Ask your accountant to model both before you decide which connection carries the system.

DGVCL (Dakshin Gujarat Vij)

Net metering: who you actually file with.

Net metering turns daytime generation into a smaller bill. In Navsari the application goes to DGVCL, and we file it for you rather than handing you a form.

Navsari is Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Limited territory. DGVCL is one of four distribution subsidiaries of Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam and covers the whole of South Gujarat: Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Bharuch, Narmada, Tapi and Dang. It is organised into four circles, and Navsari Division sits under the Valsad Circle, with its own division office at GEB Colony, Kabilpore. Your file is worked locally, not from Ahmedabad.

Getting the licensee right matters more than it sounds. Gujarat has four state distribution companies plus a private licensee, and they share neither forms, portals nor timelines. MGVCL covers the central belt around Vadodara. UGVCL covers the north. PGVCL covers Saurashtra and Kachchh. Torrent Power is a private licensee in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar and parts of Surat city. None of them serves Navsari. A vendor who hands you a Torrent or PGVCL net-metering form has not read your bill.

The framework comes from the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission. GERC lets every consumer category apply, caps approved solar capacity against your sanctioned load, and sets how exported units are credited against imported units over the billing cycle. Units you push to the grid at noon offset units you draw after dark. The meter does the storing, so you do not need a battery to make the economics work.

1

Feasibility application

We submit your consumer details, proposed capacity and a single-line diagram to DGVCL. The application must sit inside your sanctioned load or the capacity is trimmed at approval.

2

Technical feasibility sanction

Dakshin Gujarat Vij verifies transformer headroom and your connection phase, then issues the sanction letter that authorises installation at the approved capacity.

3

Installation and test report

We install, then file the completion report, earthing test values and inverter certification. Paperwork errors here are the commonest cause of a delayed Navsari commissioning.

4

Meter change and commissioning

We coordinate the site inspection. DGVCL fits the bidirectional meter and commissions the system. Your next bill shows imported and exported units on separate lines.

Not a home?

Solar for Navsari's businesses.

Not a home? Navsari's commercial and agricultural rooftops carry better economics, because the tariff is higher and depreciation applies.

Navsari's load is not one industry, it is four. GIDC Kabilpore and the New GIDC estate off Grid Road run cutting tools, diamond tooling and engineering units. Vijay Industrial Estate and Udyog Nagar at Vijalpore make textile machinery parts. The Gandevi and Jalalpore belt around Bilimora and Amalsad runs on chikoo, mango, sugarcane and the cold stores, pack houses and cooperative sheds that go with them. Navsari Agricultural University anchors a cluster of nurseries and floriculture units on Dandi Road. All of them buy power at commercial or HT tariffs, and most sit under wide, flat, unshaded sheet roofs.

Two levers change the sums for a business. Accelerated depreciation writes a large share of the asset off against taxable profit in the first year. A zero-advance structure means the system is generating before the first instalment falls due.

Why us

Why Navsari customers choose Heaven Green Energy

Heaven Green Energy has installed since 2017 and passed 10,000 installations across Gujarat. Here is what that actually buys you in Navsari, stated plainly.

Our base is 40 km up NH-48Our office is in Mota Varachha, Surat, roughly 40 km from Navsari. Many Navsari households already commute that road. A service call does not have to wait for someone to travel from Ahmedabad.
Monsoon and coastal specification as standardGalvanised structure, stainless hardware, sealed terminations and properly flashed roof penetrations are quoted in from the start, not sold as an upgrade after your first September of leaks.
DGVCL paperwork handled end to endFeasibility, sanction, test report, meter change, subsidy claim. You sign where the licensee requires it. We file, track and chase the rest through Dakshin Gujarat Vij.
Hardware we answer forAdani Solar modules as an authorised distributor, and Qbits inverters we manufacture ourselves. When an inverter needs attention the conversation stays with us, not with an importer.

Where we are based

Heaven Green Energy is headquartered at Mota Varachha, Surat. We have no branch office in Navsari and no local address to quote you. Surat is about 40 km up NH-48, and we serve Navsari and the wider South Gujarat region from there. Our channel partner network and field engineering team run the surveys, supervise installation and handle DGVCL coordination on the ground. We state this before you sign rather than after.

How we work

What Navsari weather does to a solar system

Navsari sits on the Purna river a few kilometres inland of the Arabian Sea, and it gets one of the wettest monsoons in Gujarat. Sunlight here is excellent for nine months. The other three decide how long your hardware lasts.

A long wet season, not a few storms

Rain runs from mid-June to late September, with July the heaviest month, and published annual totals for Navsari sit in the 1,200 mm range and higher. That is four months of standing water, wind-driven rain and constant wetting of every joint. Roof penetrations must be flashed and sealed properly, and DC junction boxes need a genuine ingress rating, not a sticker claiming one.

Salt in the air from the coast

Dandi and Ubhrat are a short drive west, and sea air carries chloride inland. Chloride attacks clamps, fasteners, earthing conductors and cable glands long before it touches the glass. Near the shoreline this is a specification, not a caution. We use hot-dip galvanised structure, stainless fixings and sealed DC connectors, then inspect terminations at every service visit.

Humid heat that trims output in May

May is the warmest month here and humidity climbs through the monsoon, peaking in August. Panels lose output as cell temperature rises, so the array needs an air gap under it rather than lying flat on the slab. Humidity also makes string-level monitoring worth paying for, because a damp connection shows up as a weak string before it fails.

Six things to check on any Navsari quote.

Including ours. Take this list to every vendor you speak to.

Questions

Solar in Navsari: every question answered.

17 questions Navsari buyers actually search for, including the ones competing pages leave out. Grouped so you can skip to what you need.

Cost & subsidy

What is the price of a 3 kW solar system in Navsari?
Roughly ₹1.80 lakh to ₹2.25 lakh installed before subsidy. After the ₹78,000 PM Surya Ghar subsidy you pay about ₹1.02 lakh to ₹1.47 lakh. That covers Tier-1 modules, a branded inverter, galvanised structure, protection gear and installation. It is an indicative market range, not our quotation, and your figure depends on roof type and cable run.
How much subsidy do I get on rooftop solar in Navsari?
Up to ₹78,000 for residential consumers: ₹30,000 for each of the first two kilowatts and ₹18,000 for the third. Nothing is paid above 3 kW. PM Surya Ghar sets the amount centrally, so it is identical in Navsari, Surat and Delhi. DGVCL does not add a separate state top-up on this scheme.
Is solar cheaper in Navsari than in Surat?
The price bands are effectively the same. Both sit in the Gujarat band, and 40 km of NH-48 does not change module or inverter pricing. What changes cost is specification: coastal and monsoon-rated structure, sealing and fixings cost more, and leaving them out costs far more within three years.
When does the subsidy money actually reach my account?
Typically about 30 days after DGVCL issues the commissioning certificate, credited straight to the bank account you register on the portal. The clock starts at commissioning, not at installation, which is why the meter change should not be allowed to drift. We keep filing follow-ups until the credit shows.

Net metering & DISCOM

Which electricity company handles solar in Navsari?
Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Limited, DGVCL. It is the distribution licensee for the whole of South Gujarat, covering Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Bharuch, Narmada, Tapi and Dang. Navsari Division sits under DGVCL's Valsad Circle with a division office at GEB Colony, Kabilpore. Every feasibility application and commissioning certificate goes through it.
Is Navsari served by Torrent Power like parts of Surat?
No. Torrent Power is a private licensee operating in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar and parts of Surat city only. Navsari is entirely DGVCL. If you moved here from a Torrent area in Surat, your forms, portal and timelines all change. Check the licensee name printed at the top of your own bill.
How long does DGVCL net metering take in Navsari?
Feasibility sanction usually returns within one to two weeks. After installation, inspection, meter change and commissioning typically run another two to five weeks. Delays nearly always come from incomplete test reports or a mismatch between the consumer name on the bill and the portal registration. Filing both applications together shortens the run.
Can I install more solar than my sanctioned load?
Not under the GERC framework. Approved solar capacity is capped against your sanctioned load, so anything sized beyond it gets trimmed at sanction. If your consumption genuinely needs more, apply to DGVCL to raise the sanctioned load first, then size the array. Load enhancement is a separate application with its own charges.

Sizing & performance

How many units will a solar system generate in Navsari?
About 4 to 4.5 units per installed kilowatt per day as an annual average, on roughly 5.5 peak sun hours. A 5 kW system produces around 600 to 675 units a month. That average already carries the monsoon months, which run well below it while the dry season runs above it.
Does the Navsari monsoon make solar a bad investment?
No, but it flattens four months. July generation is the lowest of the year, and the annual figures on this page already account for it. Net metering is what carries you through: credits banked in a bright February and March offset a wet July, so you judge the system over a year, not a month.
What size system suits my Navsari electricity bill?
Roughly: up to ₹1,800 a month suits 2 kW, ₹2,000 to ₹3,500 suits 3 kW, ₹3,500 to ₹6,000 suits 5 kW, and ₹6,000 to ₹13,000 suits 10 kW. Above ₹13,000 you are into 25 kW and commercial territory. Confirm against units, not rupees. We verify the fit at survey.
How much roof do I need?
About 200 sq ft for 2 kW, 300 sq ft for 3 kW, 500 sq ft for 5 kW and 700 to 1,000 sq ft for 10 kW. The area must stay shadow-free through the day. A chikoo or mango tree clipping the array for two hours can remove a tenth of annual yield.

Installation & service

How long does installation take in Navsari?
Two to four days of work on a typical residential roof once approvals are in hand. The full timeline from first call to a commissioned net meter usually runs four to eight weeks, and most of that is DGVCL processing rather than site work. Sheet-roof GIDC sites take a little longer than slabs.
Will the roof leak where the structure is fixed?
Not if the penetrations are flashed and sealed to the roof type before the array goes on. This is the single most common complaint after a Navsari monsoon, and it is a workmanship failure rather than a design one. Ask how each fixing will be sealed and who returns if a leak appears.
How often should panels be cleaned here?
Roughly every two to four weeks through the dry season, and more often near GIDC Kabilpore or a busy road. The monsoon washes glass for you but drives moisture and salt into joints, so post-monsoon service should inspect terminations and earthing, not just wipe the panels.

About Heaven Green

Does Heaven Green Energy have an office in Navsari?
No. Our single office is at Mota Varachha, Surat, about 40 km away up NH-48. We serve Navsari through our channel partner network and field engineering team, who run surveys, supervise installation and handle DGVCL coordination locally. We tell you this before you sign rather than after.
What equipment do you install?
Adani Solar modules, as an authorised distributor, and Qbits inverters, which we manufacture in-house. Both matter for service: warranty claims stay with us rather than being routed through an importer who may not be trading in five years. Structure, cable and protection gear are specified to the site.
