Searching for the best solar software in Poland in 2026 tends to happen for a different reason than it did in 2021. Back then the question was how to design and quote faster, because the phone would not stop ringing. Now the question is how to run a business with two thousand systems in the ground, a service inbox nobody owns, margins that no longer forgive a wasted truck roll, and a settlement model where the customer’s savings depend on what hour of the day the array exports. Polish installers who are still shopping only for design software are solving the 2021 problem. Design and simulation is layout, string configuration, shading and hourly yield. Proposals is the customer document with net-billing settlement, the prosumer deposit and the grant stack. Monitoring is production and consumption data, and in Poland it is not a passive layer any more. Home energy management is the newer layer: shifting consumption into the hours when self-use beats exporting, and controlling a heat pump or a boiler from surplus generation. CRM and sales is pipeline, canvassing, quotes and the follow-up that a slower market now requires. O&M, service and ERP is the last layer and the one that grows every single year: warranty visits, faults, inspections, grant paperwork and the invoicing that KSeF now governs.

Poland is unusual because layer three and layer four carry real financial weight for the customer, not just operational weight for you. 1. SurgePV

What it does best. One licence covering design, simulation and the customer document, with the Polish settlement arithmetic done inside the model rather than in a spreadsheet beside it. Enter a Polish address, get an AI-built 3D roof from satellite imagery, place modules, run the 8,760-hour module-level simulation for hourly production, then settle that hourly production against hourly prices rather than assuming a flat credit. Real pricing. Included with the hardware for standard monitoring and installer fleet tools. Some advanced management features depend on additional Huawei devices rather than on a licence fee.

Who it suits. Any Polish installer with a Huawei-heavy fleet, which is a large share of the residential market, and especially those selling storage and heat pump bundles.

Honest limitations. Hardware locked and useless for the SolarEdge, Fronius, SMA, Sofar or Deye systems in the rest of your portfolio. No design, no proposals, no invoicing, no CRM. Portfolio-level O&M reporting is weaker than a dedicated platform, ticketing is basic, and the energy management features assume you sold the full Huawei chain rather than mixed components.

3. Berg System

What it does best. Polish sales CRM with a real understanding of how Polish PV and finance teams sell. Lead distribution across a call and field team, call scripts, meeting scheduling, offer versioning, commission tracking and consent management under Polish rules. In a market where leads got expensive and close rates fell, the difference between a tracked pipeline and a shared spreadsheet is now visible in monthly revenue.

Real pricing. Commonly PLN 100 to 220 per user per month depending on tier and modules, so roughly PLN 6,000 to PLN 13,200 a year for five users.

Who it suits. Installers with a dedicated sales team, canvassing operations, and anyone paying for leads who cannot currently say which source converts.

Honest limitations. It is a CRM, not a solar tool. No design, no simulation, no yield, no settlement modelling, so the technical offer still comes from elsewhere. It will not do your accounting or your service tickets. And a CRM only helps if the team enters data, which in a small installer with two salespeople is a real adoption risk rather than a theoretical one. 4. Comarch ERP Optima

What it does best. Polish accounting and invoicing, from the vendor most Polish accountants already work with. Sales and purchase invoicing, VAT records, JPK files, warehouse, payroll and the KSeF integration that 2026 makes non-optional. Electronic invoicing through the national system stops being a preference this year, with the timetable and technical specification published by the Polish Ministry of Finance tax portal, and this is the layer that has to be compliant on the day.

Real pricing. Roughly PLN 2,000 to PLN 6,000 a year depending on modules and the number of users, with your accountant’s own licence often separate.

Who it suits. Essentially every Polish installer above sole trader scale, because the obligation is not optional and your księgowa will have an opinion about which product.

Honest limitations. Zero solar intelligence. It does not know what kWp means, cannot model yield, cannot produce an offer worth showing a customer and will not manage a service visit. The interface is dense and assumes accounting knowledge. Treat it as infrastructure rather than as a business tool, and never let it become the place your quotes are written.

5. Solar-Log

What it does best. Hardware-agnostic monitoring for the mixed fleet, which is what a Polish installer with five years of history actually has. One datalogger per site collects from almost any inverter brand, and the portal gives portfolio views, performance comparison, alerting, string level analysis and the production evidence that settles a warranty argument. For an installer whose service department is currently logging into five separate manufacturer portals, this is the purchase that returns a day a week.

Real pricing. Typically PLN 400 to PLN 1,600 per site per year depending on plan and data granularity, plus the datalogger hardware per site, which is usually several hundred złoty.

Who it suits. Installers carrying maintenance contracts on commercial roofs, and anyone with a mixed-brand portfolio past roughly a hundred sites.

Honest limitations. Per-site cost adds up quickly and is impossible to justify on small residential systems where the free manufacturer portal is adequate. It requires hardware and a commissioning visit per site, which is fine on new jobs and awkward retrospectively. No design, no proposals, no CRM, no invoicing. And it will not control anything: it observes, it does not shift load.

6. Odoo

What it does best. Holding the service business together. Odoo’s field service, helpdesk, project, inventory, sales and accounting modules share one database, with a Polish localisation covering the Polish chart of accounts and KSeF invoicing. Build a service board where an inverter fault becomes a ticket, the ticket becomes a scheduled visit with the right technician and the right part reserved from stock, and the visit becomes an invoice. For an installer with two thousand systems in the ground, that chain is the whole business.

Real pricing. Odoo publishes its list prices on its own pricing page and prices them per country. The shape is a free single-app tier with unlimited users, then Standard and Custom tiers charged per user per month with a discount for annual billing. Take the current Polish figure from Odoo rather than from a range on a comparison page. Implementation is separate and is usually the larger number.

Who it suits. Installers past ten employees with a genuine service operation and someone internal who can own the configuration.

Honest limitations. It arrives as a kit. Everything described above is something you build, and a half-configured Odoo is worse than a good spreadsheet plus a calendar. It knows nothing about kWp, net-billing or grants. Upgrades can break customisation. Budget for a Polish partner and expect the first three months to be work rather than benefit.

7. SolarEdge Monitoring and SolarEdge ONE

What it does best. Module-level visibility plus energy management on SolarEdge hardware. Optimiser-level data means a shaded or failing module shows up individually rather than as a vague production shortfall, which cuts diagnostic truck rolls sharply. SolarEdge ONE adds the smart energy layer, coordinating battery, EV charging and controllable loads against tariff and export conditions, which is precisely the behaviour net-billing rewards.

Real pricing. Standard monitoring is included with the hardware. Advanced energy management depends on SolarEdge devices such as the home hub inverter and controlled load devices rather than on a separate licence.

Who it suits. Installers standardised on SolarEdge, particularly on shaded Polish roofs where optimisers were the reason for the specification in the first place.

Honest limitations. The same hardware lock. Nothing here helps with the Huawei or Sofar half of your fleet, and mixed portfolios still end up with several portals. No design, no proposals, no CRM, no invoicing. Commercial portfolio and performance guarantee reporting is thinner than Solar-Log or a dedicated O&M platform.

8. PVsyst

What it does best. Bankable simulation. When a Polish bank, an insurer or a technical advisor wants an independent view on a 20 MW farm or a large commercial rooftop, the PVsyst loss diagram is the document named. The shading and loss models survive due diligence in a way sales-tool yield estimates do not.

Real pricing. CHF 700 per user per year for the Professional licence, which is an annual subscription rather than a perpetual licence, roughly PLN 3,150 at CHF 1 to PLN 4.5. Education is CHF 420 and group discounts of 5 to 20 per cent apply by quantity. Five seats come to CHF 3,500, comfortably below five SurgePV seats at PLN 23,500, so on price alone PVsyst wins if simulation is all you need.

Who it suits. Independent engineers, technical due diligence teams and developers producing yield reports for lenders or investors.

Honest limitations. Desktop only, steep learning curve, no proposals, no CRM, no service management, no Polish document templates and nothing about net-billing settlement. It answers how many kilowatt-hours, not what they are worth in a market where the hour matters. 9. Loxone

What it does best. Home energy management as a sold product rather than a feature. Loxone controls heating, hot water, a heat pump, EV charging and general loads from one controller and can drive them from surplus PV generation, which under net-billing directly raises the share of production consumed on site. For a Polish installer whose competitors are all quoting the same panels at the same price, this is a genuine differentiator and a second revenue line on the same roof.

Real pricing. No per-user licence. Hardware and configuration for a typical Polish home run roughly PLN 5,000 to PLN 15,000 installed depending on scope, sold to the customer rather than absorbed as an overhead.

Who it suits. Installers moving up-market into whole-home energy, particularly those already selling heat pumps alongside PV.

Honest limitations. It is not solar software. No design, no proposals, no monitoring of your fleet, no CRM, no service management. It requires trained installers and a configuration skill your electricians probably do not have yet. It is also a customer-side product, so it improves the offer rather than your operations. Cheaper alternatives exist, and manufacturer energy managers from Huawei or SolarEdge cover the simpler cases at no extra hardware cost.

10. PV*SOL premium

What it does best. Detailed simulation with strong storage, heat pump and self-consumption modelling, from Valentin Software in Berlin. Polish technical buyers know the name, the 3D shading visualisation is persuasive in a meeting, and the self-consumption analysis is directly relevant to the net-billing question. It is the tool a Polish bureau or a careful engineer reaches for when the answer needs to look defensible.

Real pricing. PVSOL premium is EUR 845 per named user per year plus VAT, roughly PLN 3,630 at PLN 4.3 to the euro, and standard PVSOL is EUR 585, about PLN 2,515. Valentin Software stopped selling perpetual licences on 19 November 2024 and ended maintenance renewals on the older ones from 1 October 2024, so subscription is the only route now. At that price PV*SOL premium is cheaper per user than SurgePV at PLN 4,700, and a Polish buyer who only needs simulation and self-consumption modelling should know that before reading our ranking.

Who it suits. Technical consultancies and installers whose customers ask for an engineering report rather than a sales document.

Honest limitations. Desktop software, weak multi-user collaboration, no CRM, no service management, no invoicing and no monitoring. Verdict. Buy against the layer that is costing you money. If quoting and drawings are slow, SurgePV. If nobody can see the pipeline, Berg System. If a customer asks why their bill did not fall, monitoring. If your service inbox is the bottleneck, Odoo. If a lender names the report, PVsyst. If your fleet is four brands and five logins, Solar-Log.

Why Net-Billing Makes Monitoring a Financial Product

This is the substance that separates Poland from most European markets, and it changes what software has to do after the install rather than before it.

Under net metering, a Polish prosumer could export in July and take the energy back in January at a fixed ratio. Timing did not matter much, so monitoring was a comfort feature. Under net-billing, exports are sold at market prices and imports are bought at retail prices, and the gap between those two numbers is the customer’s real economics. Polish midday market prices in spring and summer are frequently very low and occasionally negative, precisely because every south-facing array in the country is exporting at once. The same kilowatt-hour is worth several times more if the dishwasher, the water heater or the heat pump uses it on site.

That has four software consequences.

  1. Consumption data stops being optional. Production-only monitoring cannot tell a customer whether their savings are real, because the savings depend on the split between self-use and export.
  2. Control beats observation. A monitoring portal that reports is worth less than one that acts, which is why FusionSolar, SolarEdge ONE and dedicated managers such as Loxone belong on a solar software list.
  3. Heat pumps become part of the PV sale. A heat pump is the largest controllable load in a Polish home and the best available sink for midday surplus, which is why the bundle sells and why your tooling has to model it hourly.
  4. The proposal has to be checkable later. If your quote promised a self-consumption share, the monitoring platform is where that promise is either confirmed or argued about, so pick one you are happy for the customer to see.

📘 Regulation note

Net-billing applies to prosumers connected from 1 April 2022. Older installations sit on legacy net metering for their transition period, so a service portfolio contains customers on two different economic models. Any tool that assumes one model will give half your customers wrong advice.

The Service Portfolio Problem the Boom Left Behind

Poland installed rooftop PV extremely fast and then slowed down, and the residue of that is a national service obligation sitting on the books of installers who were staffed for selling, not for maintaining. This is the least discussed and most expensive software question in the Polish market.

A portfolio of two thousand residential systems generates a predictable annual load of inverter faults, communication dropouts, optimiser failures, string faults, meter and settlement queries, roof works, and warranty claims that must be evidenced to a manufacturer. Handled on a phone and a shared inbox, each of those costs a call, a diagnosis visit, a parts order, a second visit and an invoice nobody chased. Handled in a service system, most of them cost one visit because the diagnosis happened remotely and the part travelled with the technician.

The behaviours worth buying, in order of payback:

  1. Remote diagnosis before dispatch. Monitoring data that tells you which component failed turns two visits into one. This alone usually justifies the monitoring layer.
  2. Ticket continuity. The alert becomes a ticket, the ticket becomes a scheduled visit, the visit becomes an invoice or a warranty claim, all against the same customer record.
  3. Parts and warranty tracking. Serial numbers, install dates and warranty expiry per site, so a claim is a lookup rather than an archaeology project.
  4. Evidence retention. Commissioning readings and photographs from year one, held against the asset, which is what settles a dispute in year eight. Grants add a second records burden on top. Mój Prąd and Czyste Powietrze both require documentation that arrives at your office rather than the customer’s, and both create follow-up correspondence months after the install. Programme rules and application requirements are published on the Polish government portal at gov.pl. Treat grant paperwork as a tracked stage in your service or project tool, because a grant file that fails on a missing invoice becomes your problem, not the customer’s.

No platform on this list submits a Mój Prąd or Czyste Powietrze application, and none of them fills in a PGE, Tauron, Enea, Energa or Stoen connection form. Five operators means five processes, and software can only remind you where each dossier stands.

The Stack a Polish Installer Should Actually Buy

Layer coverage is theory. This is the prescription by business type, in złoty, and every one of them is two or three paid licences rather than one or six.

  1. Solo installer or two-person team, up to 3 jobs a month. Two licences, roughly PLN 8,800 to PLN 12,800 a year. Do not buy a CRM yet.

It means invoicing has to live in a Polish product that is compliant on the mandated date, not in whatever your quoting tool emits. The national e-invoicing system becomes obligatory in 2026, with the technical specification published by the Ministry of Finance, so most installers use Comarch ERP Optima, Symfonia or a comparable Polish package, or a localised ERP such as Odoo. Does any software handle Mój Prąd and the operator connection forms?

Should a Polish installer buy O&M software before another design tool?
