The short answer

Rooftop solar in Ankleshwar costs roughly ₹55,000 to ₹75,000 per kW before subsidy. A 3 kW system runs ₹1.80 lakh to ₹2.25 lakh, falling to ₹1.02 lakh to ₹1.47 lakh after the ₹78,000 PM Surya Ghar subsidy. Each kW generates 4 to 4.5 units a day here. DGVCL, the South Gujarat licensee, handles net metering. Payback lands between three and a half and five years.

Price, size and savings

Find your bill. Read across.

Most Ankleshwar solar pages hide the price behind a callback form or quote a national average that no local roof matches. This table answers the whole question in one place. Find your monthly bill on the left, then read across for system size, monthly generation, the shadow-free roof it needs, and what it costs after subsidy.

Indicative Ankleshwar market ranges for 2026, covering Tier-1 modules, a branded inverter, galvanised structure, protection and installation. These are market ranges, not a Heaven Green quotation. Subsidy figures are the central PM Surya Ghar amounts published on pmsuryaghar.gov.in. Generation assumes a shadow-free, roughly south-facing roof.

Size against units, not rupees. Read the units column off your DGVCL bill rather than the amount payable, because units are what an array cancels. Ankleshwar bills swing hard between a March to June air-conditioning peak and a mild winter, so pull twelve months rather than one. The roof column says shadow-free for a reason: an overhead water tank or a neighbour's stair-head shading the array for two hours a day costs more output than people expect.

The 3 kW cliff is real. The subsidy pays ₹30,000 per kW for the first two kilowatts and ₹18,000 for the third, and nothing above that. On a 3 kW system that covers 35 to 43% of the cost. On a 10 kW system it covers 12 to 15%. If your bill sits on the boundary, 3 kW returns more rupees per rupee spent.

In Ankleshwar, ask what the structure is made of before you ask the panel brand. Roofs within a few kilometres of the GIDC estates sit in corrosive, dust-laden air. Thin galvanising and untreated fasteners rust out here years earlier than they would inland, and that is the first line item a cut-price quote thins. Insist on a written Bill of Materials listing make, model, quantity and galvanising specification.

Why there is no rupee saving in that table

There is no rupee saving column in that table, deliberately. The rupee figure depends on the slab rate you personally pay DGVCL, which is printed on your own bill. It differs between a residential connection in Bharuchi Naka and a commercial one inside the GIDC. Guessing it would make this page look confident and make your payback figure wrong. Bring your last bill to the free survey and we will work the exact number out with you, in front of you. Prefer to work it out yourself first? Put your bill into our solar savings calculator. No phone number required.

PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana

₹78,000

Maximum central subsidy for a residential rooftop system.

  • ₹30,000 per kW for the first 2 kW
  • ₹18,000 for the 3rd kW
  • Nothing paid above 3 kW
  • Credited directly to your bank account
  • We file the entire claim for you
How the subsidy works

Five steps, and we run four of them.

Anyone advertising a bigger "Ankleshwar solar subsidy" is selling something that does not exist. PM Surya Ghar is a central scheme, so the amount is identical nationwide, and Gujarat adds no separate cash top-up. What changes locally is who processes your file, and here that is DGVCL.

1

Register on the National Portal

You register at pmsuryaghar.gov.in using your DGVCL consumer number, mobile, Aadhaar and address. We sit with you for this. A consumer number that does not match DGVCL records is the commonest reason an Ankleshwar application stalls before it starts.

2

Apply for feasibility, then pick your vendor

DGVCL checks the application against your sanctioned load and the local distribution transformer. You then select an empanelled vendor from the portal list. Heaven Green Energy is empanelled, so we map straight onto your application.

3

Install only after approval

Once feasibility clears, we install. You get Adani modules with traceable serial numbers, a Bill of Materials and a warranty schedule that separates product cover from performance cover rather than blurring the two.

4

Inspection and net meter

The DGVCL Ankleshwar sub-division inspects earthing, protection and metering, then fits the bidirectional meter and issues the commissioning certificate on the portal. Our engineer attends the inspection so queries are answered on the spot.

5

Claim and credit

We file the subsidy claim the moment the certificate issues. Government credits the money straight into your bank account by DBT. It never passes through us, so treat any vendor offering to collect the subsidy on your behalf as a warning.

If you are a business, this section does not apply

PM Surya Ghar covers residential consumers only. A chemical unit, a transport office or a shop in Ankleshwar cannot claim a rupee of it, whatever a salesperson tells you. Businesses claim accelerated depreciation on the asset instead, which for a taxpaying company usually returns more than the residential subsidy ever would. The claim goes through your own accountant rather than through a portal.

DGVCL (Dakshin Gujarat Vij)

Net metering: who you actually file with.

Net metering is where rival Ankleshwar pages get the facts wrong, and the error costs you every export credit you were counting on.

Ankleshwar is supplied by Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Limited (DGVCL), the South Gujarat licensee, through its Bharuch circle and the Ankleshwar town and GIDC sub-divisions. DGVCL also covers Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, Dang and Narmada districts. It is a different company from MGVCL, which supplies neighbouring Vadodara, from PGVCL in Saurashtra and from UGVCL in north Gujarat. Pages that file your application under the wrong Vij company, or link a Vadodara portal, are pointing you at a utility that cannot process your connection.

Commercial terms come from the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC), not from the discom and not from us. Under the GERC net-metering framework your system is capped at your sanctioned load, and every consumer category may apply. Surplus units you export are credited against units you draw at night or through the monsoon. If you want a larger array than your sanctioned load allows, the load has to be enhanced first. That is a separate DGVCL application and it is better started early than discovered late.

One practical point specific to this town. A large share of Ankleshwar roofs sit on connections whose sanctioned load was fixed years ago, before the household added air conditioning. Check the sanctioned load printed on your bill before you fall in love with a system size, because feasibility is decided against that figure and nothing else.

1

Application

Consumer details, sanctioned load, system rating, single-line diagram and equipment datasheets go to the DGVCL sub-division holding your connection.

Filed by us
2

Technical feasibility

The discom tests whether your sanctioned load and the feeding transformer carry the proposed capacity. Oversized systems are refused here, which is why we size against sanctioned load on the first visit.

DGVCL
3

Installation and inspection

We install and commission. DGVCL inspects earthing, isolation, protection settings and metering compliance before anything is energised against the grid.

Us, then DGVCL
4

Bidirectional meter

Your existing meter is swapped for a bidirectional net meter and the commissioning certificate issues. Export credits begin accruing from that date, not from the day the panels went up.

Not a home?

Solar for Ankleshwar's businesses.

Running a chemical unit, a warehouse, a transport yard or a workshop rather than a home? The arithmetic is different, and this page is written for householders.

Businesses across Ankleshwar GIDC Phases I to IV, Panoli, Jhagadia and the Valia Road belt get no PM Surya Ghar subsidy. They claim accelerated depreciation on the asset instead, which for a taxpaying company often returns more than the residential subsidy would. They can also avoid capital outlay altogether through OPEX or RESCO structures.

Industrial rooftops here need specification the residential market does not. Corrosion-rated structure and hardware near the chemical estates, anti-PID modules, and wind-load design for the open ground between the estate and the Narmada. We deliver turnkey C&I EPC across the belt, including DGVCL HT coordination and long-term O&M.

Why us

Why Ankleshwar customers choose Heaven Green Energy

We have built solar since 2017 and completed more than 10,000 installations across India, from single terraces to industrial plants running into hundreds of kilowatts.

Authorised Adani Solar distributorGenuine Adani modules, traceable serial numbers, full manufacturer warranty. No grey-market stock, and no unheard-of brand that has quietly disappeared by the year you finally need a performance claim honoured on a twenty-five-year asset.
We build our own invertersQbits is our in-house inverter brand. Service on the component most likely to need it runs through us rather than through an importer with a queue and a shipping schedule.
The paperwork is our jobPortal registration, vendor mapping, DGVCL feasibility and net metering, inspection attendance and the subsidy claim all sit with our team. Your part is signing and being on site for the survey.
Nothing to pay for the surveySurvey and proposal cost nothing and commit you to nothing. You keep the Bill of Materials, generation estimate and payback figure, and you are free to price them against any rival in Ankleshwar.

Where we are based

Heaven Green Energy is headquartered at Mota Varachha, Surat. We have no branch office in Ankleshwar. We serve Ankleshwar, Bharuch and the wider South Gujarat region through our channel partner network and field engineering team. They run the surveys, supervise installation and handle DGVCL coordination on the ground. We say this before you sign rather than after.

How we work

From first call to a spinning net meter.

Four steps to a spinning net meter, including the parts that belong to DGVCL rather than to us.

01

Free site survey

We measure shadow-free area, check roof structure and waterproofing, read your sanctioned load and twelve months of DGVCL units, and log shading from tanks, parapets and neighbouring buildings.

Day 1–2
02

Written proposal

System size, layout, Bill of Materials with makes and models, generation estimate at Ankleshwar irradiance, cost after subsidy and payback. One document you can take to any competitor.

Day 3–5
03

Applications and installation

We file the portal and DGVCL applications, wait for feasibility to clear, then install. A typical residential roof in Ankleshwar takes two to four days on site once the approval is actually in hand, and we do not start earlier.

Week 2–4
04

Inspection, meter, subsidy

DGVCL inspects and fits the bidirectional meter. The commissioning certificate issues, we file the subsidy claim, and the money reaches your bank account by DBT.

Week 4–8

What Ankleshwar weather does to a solar system

An array specified for a quiet inland town is wrong for a chemical estate town with a 940 mm monsoon and a 39°C pre-monsoon peak. Three local conditions change the engineering here, and a vendor who ignores all three quotes you less and delivers less.

Estate dust and corrosive air

Roofs near the GIDC estates, Panoli and the NH-48 corridor collect a heavier soiling layer than a residential suburb does, and the air carries acidic industrial and vehicle emissions. Soiling is invisible from the ground and quietly cuts output all dry season. Plan on cleaning every two to three weeks from February to June, and specify corrosion-rated structure, hardware and connectors rather than the cheapest galvanising available.

A short, heavy monsoon

Ankleshwar takes roughly 940 mm of rain, most of it between June and September, with July alone near 300 mm. That is concentrated water on your terrace. Mounting-foot waterproofing, cable-entry sealing and conduit routing decide whether your roof leaks in year two. Rain also washes the modules clean, which is why annual generation holds up despite the wet months.

Pre-monsoon heat and squall lines

April and May hold average highs near 39°C, and module output falls as cell temperature rises. Real clearance between module and roof lets heat escape, so an array bolted flush to save steel loses generation every summer for twenty-five years. The same weeks bring sharp squalls off the Gulf of Khambhat. Foundation design, fastener grade and surge protection are what keep the array and the inverter alive.

Questions

Solar in Ankleshwar: every question answered.

17 questions Ankleshwar buyers actually search for, including the ones competing pages leave out. Grouped so you can skip to what you need.

Cost & subsidy

What is the cost of solar panel installation in Ankleshwar in 2026?
Roughly ₹55,000 to ₹75,000 per kW installed, before subsidy. That puts 3 kW at ₹1.80 to ₹2.25 lakh, 5 kW at ₹2.85 to ₹3.45 lakh and 10 kW at ₹5.20 to ₹6.30 lakh. Structure quality, protection specification and roof access drive the spread, not the panel brand.
What is the price of a 3 kW solar system in Ankleshwar with subsidy?
Between ₹1.02 lakh and ₹1.47 lakh net, from ₹1.80 to ₹2.25 lakh less the ₹78,000 subsidy. A 3 kW system generates 360 to 405 units a month here, which covers a household using 300 to 400 units. It is the smallest system earning the full subsidy, so it sells most.
How much solar subsidy do I get in Ankleshwar?
Up to ₹78,000. Per pmsuryaghar.gov.in, PM Surya Ghar pays ₹30,000 per kW for the first 2 kW and ₹18,000 for the third, nothing beyond. So 1 kW earns ₹30,000, 2 kW earns ₹60,000 and 3 kW or larger earns ₹78,000. Gujarat adds no separate state cash subsidy.
Can I buy solar on EMI or a loan in Ankleshwar?
Yes. Residential rooftop solar falls under priority-sector lending and several banks and NBFCs finance it. Most Ankleshwar households borrow the pre-subsidy amount, then prepay principal when the subsidy lands. We can introduce financing partners, though comparing their rate and processing fee against your own bank is usually the smarter move.

Net metering & DISCOM

Which DISCOM serves Ankleshwar for rooftop solar?
DGVCL, Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Limited, the South Gujarat licensee, through its Bharuch circle and the Ankleshwar sub-divisions. It is a different company from MGVCL in Vadodara, PGVCL in Saurashtra and UGVCL in north Gujarat. Applications lodged with the wrong Vij company do not get processed.
Is net metering available in Ankleshwar, and what happens to my surplus units?
Yes. Under the GERC framework your system may be sized up to your sanctioned load and all consumer categories qualify. Your home uses solar first by day and exports the surplus to DGVCL as credit against units drawn at night and through the monsoon. A February to May surplus banks against the July dip.
How long does DGVCL net metering take in Ankleshwar?
Several weeks from application to installed bidirectional meter, covering feasibility, post-installation inspection and the meter swap. Installation itself is only a few days of that. The discom-controlled steps set the pace and no installer can compress them, so treat a guaranteed one-week net meter as a straightforward red flag.
Do I need DGVCL approval before installing solar in Ankleshwar?
Yes, for any grid-connected system, which is nearly everyone. The order is application, feasibility approval, installation, then inspection and meter. Installing first is how roofs end up generating with no export credit, and how oversized arrays get rejected outright. We file in the correct order for you.

Sizing & performance

How many units does 1 kW of solar generate per day in Ankleshwar?
About 4 to 4.5 units daily, averaged over the year. Ankleshwar gets roughly 5.5 peak sun hours, among the strongest solar resources in India. Output beats that average from February to May and drops during the July to September monsoon. Annually, expect around 1,450 to 1,600 units per kW.
What size solar system does a 2 BHK or 3 BHK home in Ankleshwar need?
A 2 BHK usually needs 2 to 3 kW and a 3 BHK 3 to 5 kW, but size against consumption rather than floor plan. Take the units from twelve months of DGVCL bills and pick the system that covers your average month, not your peak May month. Sizing on one summer bill overbuilds the array.
How many ACs can run on a 3 kW or 5 kW solar system?
A 1.5-ton split AC draws 1.2 to 1.5 units an hour while the compressor runs. A 3 kW system making 12 to 13.5 units a day supports one AC by day plus normal household load. Two ACs through an Ankleshwar summer needs 5 kW. At night you draw grid units against banked credits.
How much roof area do I need for solar in Ankleshwar?
About 90 to 100 sq ft of genuinely shadow-free area per kW, so roughly 300 sq ft for 3 kW and 500 sq ft for 5 kW. Shadow-free is the operative word: a tank or a neighbour's parapet shading the array two hours a day costs real output. An elevated structure recovers area on a congested terrace.

Installation & service

How long does solar installation take in Ankleshwar?
Two to four days on a typical residential roof. The whole process, from survey and proposal through the portal and DGVCL applications to inspection and net meter, runs several weeks, with the discom steps as the variable. We give you a date range at proposal stage and name which steps are ours and which are not.
How often do solar panels need cleaning near Ankleshwar GIDC?
Every two to three weeks through the dry season if you are near the estates or the NH-48 corridor, and monthly elsewhere. Industrial and road dust builds a soiling film that cuts output with no visible fault and no alarm. The monsoon rinses the glass, so July to September needs far less attention.
Will solar work during the Ankleshwar monsoon and on cloudy days?
Yes, at reduced output, because modules generate from diffuse light. This is exactly why net metering beats batteries here. The surplus you export through the long dry season offsets the monsoon shortfall as bill credits. So we size the system on annual generation, not on the worst fortnight.
