The short answer

A 3 kW rooftop system in Rajpipla costs roughly ₹1.80 lakh to ₹2.25 lakh before subsidy. Once the ₹78,000 PM Surya Ghar amount is credited, it costs ₹1.02 lakh to ₹1.47 lakh. Each kW makes 4 to 4.5 units a day on average. Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Limited (DGVCL) runs net metering here through its Rajpipla division, and home systems usually pay back in three and a half to five years.

Price, size and savings

Find your bill. Read across.

Start from the bill, then read across. The left column is the monthly bill each size is meant to cancel. The remaining columns show generation, roof space, the price band and the subsidy that applies. That lets you place your own Rajpipla home or shop before anyone visits.

Indicative Rajpipla market ranges for 2026, covering Tier-1 modules, a branded inverter, a galvanised structure, protection gear, cabling and installation. These are not a Heaven Green quotation, which only follows a site survey. Rooftop solar systems attract 5% GST on the equipment since 22 September 2025. A supply-and-install contract taxes 30% of the value as installation service at 18%, so the blended rate on a typical quote is about 8.9%. Subsidy figures are the central PM Surya Ghar amounts listed on pmsuryaghar.gov.in. Generation assumes a shadow-free roof facing roughly south.

Read the units line on the DGVCL bill, not the amount. The rupee total moves with slab, fixed charges and fuel adjustments; the units consumed are what the array actually offsets. Take the last twelve bills if you have them, because a Rajpipla household that runs coolers from March to June and almost nothing in August has a very uneven year.

The third kilowatt is where the subsidy stops climbing. PM Surya Ghar pays ₹30,000 for each of the first two kW and ₹18,000 for the third, and nothing beyond. A 3 kW home therefore gets back roughly a third of its cost, while a 10 kW bungalow gets back closer to an eighth. If your bill sits on the boundary between 3 kW and 5 kW, run both numbers before choosing.

Compare quotes on the materials sheet. The monsoon here is longer and wetter than in north Gujarat or Saurashtra, so the cheap parts fail first. The usual culprits are thin galvanising that rusts at the bolts, unsealed junction boxes, undersized cable and earthing that was never tested. Ask each installer for a written Bill of Materials with make, model and quantity. Two totals without that sheet cannot be compared.

Why there is no rupee saving in that table

There is no rupee saving column in the table, on purpose. What a generated unit is worth to you depends on the slab you pay, and that sits on your own DGVCL bill. A domestic meter in a Vadia society, a shop on Station Road and a commercial connection at the GIDC estate all value the same unit differently. Bring a recent bill to the free survey and we work the figure out on your slab, with you watching, rather than quoting a town average. Prefer to work it out yourself first? Put your bill into our solar savings calculator. No phone number required.

PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana

₹78,000

Maximum central subsidy for a residential rooftop system.

  • ₹30,000 per kW for the first 2 kW
  • ₹18,000 for the 3rd kW
  • Nothing paid above 3 kW
  • Credited directly to your bank account
  • We file the entire claim for you
How the subsidy works

Five steps, and we run four of them.

Rajpipla has no subsidy of its own, and Gujarat adds no top-up to the central amount. PM Surya Ghar pays the same in Narmada district as anywhere else in India. The local part is who handles the technical side of your file, and here that is DGVCL's Rajpipla division.

1

Register on pmsuryaghar.gov.in

You sign up with your DGVCL consumer number, a mobile number linked to Aadhaar, and the address on the bill. We sit with you for this step. A consumer number typed with a missing digit, or a bill still in a late parent's name, is what stalls Rajpipla files most often.

2

Feasibility request and vendor choice

DGVCL checks the request against your sanctioned load and the local transformer, then marks it feasible. You select an empanelled vendor on the portal. Heaven Green Energy is on that list, so your application links to us directly.

3

Installation after approval, never before

We start work only once feasibility is granted. Panels fitted before that date put the subsidy at risk. You receive Adani modules with recorded serial numbers, a Qbits inverter, and a Bill of Materials plus warranty schedule at commissioning.

4

Inspection and new meter

A DGVCL officer from the sub-division inspects the system and a bidirectional meter replaces the old one. That triggers the commissioning report on the portal. Our engineer is present during the inspection so any query is settled on the terrace.

5

Claim and bank credit

Once the commissioning report is uploaded, we lodge the subsidy claim. The central government transfers the amount to your own bank account. It never routes through an installer, so any offer to collect it on your behalf should end the conversation.

If you are a business, this section does not apply

PM Surya Ghar covers residential connections only. A banana chips unit, a GIDC shed, a hotel near the Statue of Unity road or a shop in the bazaar cannot claim it. Those connections usually claim accelerated depreciation instead, which suits a profitable business better. Farm pump connections fall under PM-KUSUM, a separate scheme with its own process.

DGVCL (Dakshin Gujarat Vij)

Net metering: who you actually file with.

The licensee in Rajpipla is DGVCL, and its Rajpipla division is the office that sees your file. Getting this right matters because Vadodara district, which MGVCL serves, starts only a short drive north.

Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Limited (DGVCL) is the GUVNL company that distributes power across south Gujarat. Its licence covers seven districts: Surat (outside the parts of Surat city that Torrent Power serves), Bharuch, Narmada, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad and the Dangs. Its corporate office is in Surat. Rajpipla falls under DGVCL's Rajpipla division, which reports to the Bharuch circle. DGVCL's own office listing shows two operation and maintenance sub-divisions for the town, Rajpipla-I and Rajpipla-II, based at the old power house near Kalia Bhut (also written Kalia Bhoot). A third sub-division sits at Dediyapada for the eastern talukas.

Torrent Power has no licence area in Narmada district, and neither MGVCL, UGVCL nor PGVCL supplies Rajpipla. The rules themselves come from the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC), not from DGVCL and not from any installer. Under the GERC framework, every consumer category can apply and the system is capped against your sanctioned load. Units you export offset units you import instead of being paid as cash.

Two figures on your DGVCL bill therefore set the ceiling: units consumed and sanctioned load in kW. Older town connections in the bazaar area are often sanctioned at a low load. If yours is, the load extension request goes in before the solar application, and we check this at the survey so it does not surface after the panels have arrived.

1

File with the sub-division

Consumer details, sanctioned load, system rating, a single-line diagram and the roof layout go to the Rajpipla-I or Rajpipla-II sub-division, depending on which one your connection belongs to.

Solar for Rajpipla's businesses.

Rajpipla is a government and market town ringed by banana, sugarcane and cotton fields. Its business roofs are a mix of offices, small sheds and farm-linked units rather than heavy industry.

As the headquarters of Narmada district, Rajpipla carries the district offices, the Jilla Seva Sadan and the Jilla Panchayat. Hospitals, colleges and the shops that serve the whole taluka sit alongside them. The MSME Development Institute's district profile names Rajpipla as Narmada's main industrial centre, with two small GIDC estates in town. It records over 300 small units in Nandod taluka, mostly repair and services, wood, paper and food products. Banana and cotton are the district's largest crops, and a Ministry of Food Processing study counted around 60 banana chips units in Narmada district. Out at Dharikheda, near Timbi, Shree Narmada Khand Udyog runs a cooperative sugar mill with a distillery. Tourism adds a newer load: guest houses and restaurants serving visitors bound for the Statue of Unity at Kevadia.

None of these connections can use PM Surya Ghar. A business claims accelerated depreciation on the solar asset instead, and can pair it with a zero down payment structure so the instalment sits under the bill the array removes. Daytime loads such as fryers, cold rooms, office ACs and hotel laundry line up well with solar hours.

Farmers in Nandod taluka have a separate route. A rooftop on a farmhouse with a residential connection can use PM Surya Ghar, but irrigation pumps run on agricultural connections and come under PM-KUSUM. See our PM-KUSUM page and the Gujarat KUSUM and GEDA guide for pump sizing and the subsidy file.

  • GIDC sheds need a structural and wind-load check before a rating is quoted.
  • Commercial sizing is still capped by sanctioned load, so a load extension may come first.
Why us

Why Rajpipla homeowners choose Heaven Green Energy

We have installed solar since 2017 and passed 10,000 installations in Gujarat. Here is what that experience means for a Rajpipla customer, in practical terms.

DGVCL files handled end to endPortal registration, the sub-division application, feasibility, test reports and the meter visit all stay with our team. You do not need to queue at Kalia Bhut to find out where your file sits.
Adani modules and Qbits invertersHeaven Green is an authorised channel partner of Adani for modules and fits only Adani panels. Inverters are Qbits, our group's own brand, so warranty claims go to a company that answers the phone.
Hardware chosen for monsoon countryHot-dip galvanised structures, sealed junction boxes and tested earthing are on the materials list in writing. That matters more in Rajpipla's rains than in a dry inland town.
Free survey, no advanceAn engineer measures the roof, checks shade from trees and water tanks, and reads your bill before any price is fixed. You pay nothing to begin.

Where we are based

Heaven Green Energy is headquartered at Mota Varachha, Surat, and that is our only office. We serve Rajpipla and the wider South Gujarat region through our channel partner network and field engineering team. They carry out the surveys, supervise installation and coordinate with DGVCL on the ground. We have no branch, address or local phone line in Rajpipla, and we would rather you know that before you sign than after.

How we work

How Rajpipla weather affects a solar system

Rajpipla gets more rain than most of Gujarat and sits against forested hills, so the design work here is about water, humidity and storms as much as heat. Three conditions shape what we fit.

A wetter, longer monsoon

District profiles put Narmada's average rainfall at roughly 800 to 1,100 mm a year, falling mainly from June to September. That is more than Saurashtra or north Gujarat receive, and the cloud cover dents output in July and August. We size against the annual average, not a May reading, and seal every cable entry and junction box against driving rain.

Humidity, rust and the riverside

The town sits on the Karjan river with the Satpura foothills and Shoolpaneshwar forest to the east. Damp months are hard on cheap steel: poor galvanising starts to rust at cut ends and bolt holes within a few seasons. We specify hot-dip galvanised structures and stainless fasteners, with drainage gaps so water never pools under the rails.

Pre-monsoon heat and storms

The district profile records summer highs around 42°C, and the weeks before the rains bring gusty squalls. Heat lowers module output, so we leave an air gap under the array and keep the inverter out of direct afternoon sun. Lightning and surge protection with tested earthing comes as standard.

Six things to check on any Rajpipla quote.

Including ours. Take this list to every vendor you speak to.

Questions

Solar in Rajpipla: every question answered.

17 questions Rajpipla buyers actually search for, including the ones competing pages leave out. Grouped so you can skip to what you need.

Cost & subsidy

What does solar panel installation in Rajpipla cost in 2026?
A 3 kW rooftop system costs about ₹1.80 lakh to ₹2.25 lakh before subsidy, falling to ₹1.02 lakh to ₹1.47 lakh after the ₹78,000 PM Surya Ghar credit. A 5 kW system runs ₹2.85 lakh to ₹3.45 lakh before subsidy. These are indicative market ranges, not a quotation.
How much is the Rajpipla solar subsidy?
Up to ₹78,000 under PM Surya Ghar: ₹30,000 for each of the first two kW and ₹18,000 for the third, nothing above 3 kW. It is a central scheme, so the amount is the same in Narmada district as in Surat or Delhi, and it applies to residential connections only.
Can a banana chips unit or a GIDC shed in Rajpipla get the subsidy?
No. PM Surya Ghar is limited to homes. A processing unit, shop, hotel or shed at the Rajpipla GIDC estates claims accelerated depreciation on the solar asset instead. That often works out better for a business that pays tax. Financing can keep the instalment below the current bill.
Is there any extra Gujarat or Narmada district subsidy on top?
Not under PM Surya Ghar. The ₹78,000 cap is the whole central benefit for a home, and Gujarat adds no state top-up to it. Farm pumps are a different matter and fall under PM-KUSUM, which has its own subsidy structure and application route.

Net metering & DISCOM

Which DISCOM handles net metering in Rajpipla?
Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Limited, DGVCL. Rajpipla sits in its Rajpipla division, which reports to the Bharuch circle, with Rajpipla-I and Rajpipla-II sub-divisions in town. MGVCL serves Vadodara district to the north, and Torrent Power has no licence area in Narmada district.
Where is the DGVCL office for my Rajpipla solar file?
DGVCL lists its Rajpipla division and the Rajpipla-I and Rajpipla-II sub-divisions at the old power house near Kalia Bhut. Which sub-division handles you depends on your connection, and it is printed on your bill. We file there for you, so a visit is rarely needed.
How does DGVCL net metering work on a Rajpipla rooftop?
DGVCL swaps your meter for a bidirectional one. Units you export during the day offset units you import at night and on cloudy monsoon days, and you are billed on the net figure. GERC, the state regulator, sets these terms, not DGVCL and not the installer.
What size of system will DGVCL allow on my connection?
The system is capped against the sanctioned load shown on your bill. Older connections in the Dolat Bazar and Darbar Road area are often sanctioned low, so a load extension may need to go in before the solar application. We check it at the survey.

Sizing & performance

How much electricity will rooftop solar generate in Rajpipla?
Averaged over the year, 4 to 4.5 units per kW per day on about 5.5 peak sun hours. That gives 360 to 405 units a month from 3 kW and 600 to 675 from 5 kW. Output peaks from March to May and dips in July and August under monsoon cloud.
What size system suits my DGVCL bill?
As a guide, 2 kW suits bills up to ₹1,800 a month and 3 kW suits ₹2,000 to ₹3,500. A 5 kW system fits ₹3,500 to ₹6,000, and 10 kW fits ₹6,000 to ₹13,000. Above ₹13,000 you are into 25 kW commercial sizing. Use the units figure, not the rupee total.
Does Rajpipla's heavier monsoon make solar a bad idea?
No. Narmada district gets more rain than most of Gujarat, roughly 800 to 1,100 mm a year, so July and August output is lower. The other eight months are strong and the yearly average still sits at 4 to 4.5 units per kW per day. Size on the annual figure.
Can I put solar on my farmhouse in Nandod taluka?
Yes. If the farmhouse has a residential connection, rooftop solar for farmhouse use in Poicha, Thali or Pratap Nagar qualifies for PM Surya Ghar like any home. Irrigation pumps on an agricultural connection are separate and go through PM-KUSUM, which we also handle.

Installation & service

How long does installation take in Rajpipla?
Two to four days on the roof for a typical home once DGVCL feasibility is through. From first call to generation usually takes four to eight weeks, and most of that is approvals, not physical work. We avoid scheduling roof work during heavy rain spells.
Will the mounting structure rust in Rajpipla's humidity?
Not if it is specified properly. We use hot-dip galvanised steel with stainless fasteners, leave drainage gaps under the rails and seal every junction box. Ask any installer to state the galvanising standard in writing, because thin coating is where cheap structures fail here.
Who services the system after commissioning?
Our field team. Modules are Adani, supplied through our authorised channel partnership, and inverters are Qbits, the group's own brand. Serial numbers are recorded on your Bill of Materials, so any warranty claim is traced directly to the right unit.

About Heaven Green

Is there a Heaven Green Energy office in Rajpipla?
No. Our only office is at Mota Varachha in Surat. Rajpipla and Nandod taluka are covered by our channel partner network and field engineering team, who run surveys, supervise installation and deal with DGVCL locally. We state this plainly so nobody expects a local counter.
Why pick Heaven Green over another solar company in Rajpipla?
We have installed since 2017 and passed 10,000 installations. As an authorised channel partner of Adani we fit only Adani modules, use Qbits inverters, and give a written Bill of Materials on every job. We also file the DGVCL and PM Surya Ghar paperwork ourselves. Compare any quote against that.
