Price, size and savings Find your bill. Read across.
Most Jalna solar pages quote a national average or hide the number behind a form. This table answers the question outright, and the ranges are researched market rates for this part of Maharashtra rather than a figure copied off a Pune page. Find your monthly bill in the left column. Then read across for the system size, the units it makes, the roof area it needs, the payback and the cost after subsidy.
Indicative Jalna market ranges for 2026, covering Tier-1 modules, a branded inverter, galvanised structure, protection and installation. These are market ranges, not a Heaven Green Energy quotation. Subsidy amounts are the central PM Surya Ghar figures published on pmsuryaghar.gov.in. Generation assumes a shadow-free, roughly south-facing roof.
Size against units, not rupees. Read the units figure off your last MSEDCL bill instead of the amount, because units are what a rooftop system cancels. The tariff slab changes; your consumption pattern mostly does not. Shadow-free is the other operative phrase in that roof column. A water tank, a parapet or the neighbour's under-construction second floor shading the array for two hours a day costs more output than most buyers expect.
The 3 kW cliff is real. The subsidy pays 34 to 42% of a 3 kW system but only 12 to 15% of a 10 kW one, because nothing at all is paid above 3 kW. If your bill sits on the border, 3 kW returns more rupees per rupee spent.
In Jalna, ask specifically about the structure. Steel is cheap and local here, which cuts both ways. Fabricators are plentiful, and so are quotes built on thin, poorly galvanised sections put together by a workshop that has never done a wind-load calculation. Galvanising thickness, cable gauge, earthing and surge protection separate the bottom of each price band from the top. Ask for a written Bill of Materials with make, model and quantity. Without one you are not comparing prices, you are comparing guesses.
Why there is no rupee saving in that table
You will notice the table shows no rupee saving. That figure depends on the slab rate you personally pay, which is printed on your own MSEDCL bill and differs between consumers and categories. We will not guess it for you on a web page. Bring your last bill to the free survey and we work the exact number out in front of you. Prefer to work it out yourself first? Put your bill into our
