Price, size and savings Find your bill. Read across.
Here is the table most Nanded pages refuse to print. Start at your monthly bill on the left, then read straight across. You will find the system size that fits it, the units it makes each month and the shadow-free roof it needs. The last columns give the subsidy it earns and the payback you should expect. No callback required to see a number.
These are indicative market ranges for Nanded in 2026 covering Tier-1 modules, a branded inverter, galvanised mounting structure, protection gear and installation labour. They are not a Heaven Green Energy quotation and no quotation is implied. Subsidy amounts are the central PM Surya Ghar figures published on pmsuryaghar.gov.in. Generation assumes a shadow-free, broadly south-facing roof.
Read units, never rupees. A solar array cancels kilowatt-hours. It does not cancel fixed charges, the fuel adjustment component or the electricity duty printed beneath them. So size the system against the units column of twelve consecutive MSEDCL bills, not against the rupee total of one May bill. May in Nanded is a 40°C month with the coolers running all afternoon. Size off that single bill and you will buy a system you spend the next twenty years under-using.
The subsidy stops dead after the third kilowatt. PM Surya Ghar pays ₹30,000 for each of the first two kilowatts and ₹18,000 for the third. After that, nothing. In percentage terms the grant erases 34 to 42% of a 3 kW system and only around 12 to 15% of a 10 kW one. If your consumption sits on the fence between 3 kW and 5 kW, the 3 kW almost always returns more per rupee you put in.
The local warning: watch what gets cut on a pilgrimage-town budget job. Nanded has a large seasonal trade in fast, cheap contracting around the gurdwara quarter and the guest houses that serve it, and rooftop solar has picked up the same habits. The saving in a suspiciously low quote is almost never in the panel. It is in galvanising thickness, fastener grade, cable cross-section, earthing and surge protection, none of which you can see from the street. Demand a written Bill of Materials with make, model and quantity against every line. Two numbers on two letterheads are not a comparison.
Why there is no rupee saving in that table
You will notice the table quotes no rupee saving. That is on purpose. Your saving depends on the MSEDCL tariff slab your household actually lands in, and that slab is printed on your bill, not on ours. A flat near Taroda Naka and a wholesale shop off Nayamondha sit in different places entirely. We will not publish a guess.
