Price, size and savings Find your bill. Read across.
Start with the units on your PGVCL bill, not the rupee total. Match your monthly bill to a row, then read across for system size, monthly generation, the roof space you need and the subsidy that applies. Every figure is a 2026 market range for Khambhalia and the surrounding Devbhumi Dwarka villages.
These are indicative Khambhalia market ranges for 2026. They cover Tier-1 modules, a branded inverter, a galvanised mounting structure, protection gear and installation, and they are not a Heaven Green quotation. Subsidy figures are the central PM Surya Ghar amounts published on pmsuryaghar.gov.in. Generation assumes a shadow-free roof facing roughly south.
Units decide the size. Your PGVCL bill prints units consumed and sanctioned load. Both matter more than the amount payable, which swings with slab and fuel surcharge. If a house draws heavily in May and June for coolers and ACs, size it on its annual units. Net metering sets summer surplus against winter use over the cycle the regulator allows.
Above 3 kW, the subsidy stops growing. The scheme pays ₹30,000 a kW for the first two kilowatts and ₹18,000 for the third. Nothing extra comes after that. On a 3 kW system the subsidy covers about a third of the price; on 10 kW it covers far less. If your bill sits on the line between two sizes, the smaller one gives a better return per rupee.
Read the Bill of Materials, not the headline. Two Khambhalia quotes with the same total can hide very different steel, cable and earthing. Ask for make, model and quantity for every component, plus the zinc coating on the structure. Roofs in Salaya, Vadinar and the coast villages need heavier corrosion protection than roofs in town, and the price difference shows up there.
Why there is no rupee saving in that table
The table leaves out a rupee saving figure on purpose. What a solar unit is worth to you depends on the slab you pay. That differs between a residential meter in Navapara, a shop on Porbandar Road and a commercial connection at an oil mill. Bring a recent PGVCL bill to the survey and we will calculate your saving from your own tariff, with you watching, rather than quote a district average. Prefer to work it out yourself first?
