Price, size and savings Find your bill. Read across.
Most Gandhidham solar pages make you ring for a price. This table does not. Find your monthly bill on the left, then read across for system size, monthly units, shadow-free roof area, cost band and payback. Two systems of identical rating can differ by a lakh, and in this town the difference is usually hidden in the steel rather than the glass.
These are indicative Gandhidham market ranges for 2026 covering Tier-1 modules, a branded inverter, galvanised structure, protection, cabling and installation. They are not a Heaven Green Energy quotation. Subsidy figures are the central PM Surya Ghar amounts published on pmsuryaghar.gov.in. Generation assumes a shadow-free, broadly south-facing roof.
Size against units, not rupees. Your PGVCL bill prints the amount and the units consumed. Units are what an array actually cancels, so that is the figure a serious surveyor asks for first. The roof column says shadow-free deliberately. An overhead tank, a parapet or a neighbour's new first floor can strip two productive hours off a roof. On the tight plots around Ward 12A and Chawla Chowk, a raised structure pays back its extra steel quickly.
The 3 kW cliff decides most homes here. PM Surya Ghar pays ₹30,000 for each of the first two kilowatts and ₹18,000 for the third, then stops. The subsidy therefore covers more than a third of a 3 kW system and barely a seventh of a 10 kW one. If your bill sits near the boundary, 3 kW usually returns more per rupee spent.
The Gandhidham warning: ask for the galvanising thickness and the fastener grade in writing. You are eight kilometres from a working creek port. Salt-laden air chews through thin zinc coatings and plain mild-steel bolts in a handful of years, and a structure that fails at year six wipes out the whole saving. Vendors quoting the floor of these bands are cutting the mounting system, the earthing and the cable, never the panels. Demand a Bill of Materials listing make, model, quantity, coating microns and fastener grade.
Why there is no rupee saving in that table
The table shows no rupee saving, on purpose. Your saving depends on the tariff slab you personally sit in, printed on your own PGVCL bill. A domestic connection in Ward 10B is not on the same slab as a commercial one at Mithirohar GIDC. Guessing it here would be dishonest. Bring your last bill to the free survey and we work the real number out in front of you. Nobody can price your saving accurately without that piece of paper, and anyone quoting a rupee figure over the phone is guessing at your slab. Prefer to work it out yourself first?
