Price, size and savings Find your bill. Read across.
Most Pithampur solar pages quote a national average or hide the number behind a form. This table answers it outright. Find your monthly bill in the left column and read across for system size, monthly units, roof area needed, and the price before and after subsidy.
These are indicative Pithampur market ranges for 2026 covering Tier-1 modules, a branded inverter, galvanised structure, protection and installation. They are not a Heaven Green Energy quotation. Subsidy amounts are the central PM Surya Ghar figures published on pmsuryaghar.gov.in. Generation assumes a shadow-free, roughly south-facing roof.
Size against units, not rupees. Read the units figure off your last MPPKVVCL bill rather than the amount payable, because units are what a solar system cancels. Shadow-free matters as much as area. A water tank, a stair headroom or a neighbour's parapet shading the array for two hours a day costs more output than people expect. On the tighter plots in the older colonies, an elevated structure earns back its extra steel.
The 3 kW cliff is real. The subsidy pays ₹30,000 per kW for the first 2 kW and ₹18,000 for the third, then nothing. It therefore covers 34 to 42% of a 3 kW system but only 12 to 15% of a 10 kW one. If your bill sits on the boundary, 3 kW returns more rupees per rupee spent.
Pithampur's own warning: dust is a spec item, not a chore. This is a working industrial town, and quotes here get cut on exactly the parts that handle that. Ask what the module cleaning schedule is, whether water access on the roof was surveyed, and what the connector and cable rating is. A quote that says nothing about soiling was priced for a quieter town.
What the cheap end of each band actually cuts. Galvanising thickness, cable gauge, earthing and surge protection are the difference between the bottom and the top of every row above. None of them show in a photograph of a finished roof. They decide whether the array survives a pre-monsoon squall and whether the inverter survives a grid spike. Ask for the structure's wind-load rating and the DC cable size in writing. If a Pithampur quote is 20% under everyone else, something in that list is missing, and you will find out which in year three rather than at signing.
Why there is no rupee saving in that table
There is no rupee saving column in that table, deliberately. The rupee figure depends on the slab and category rate printed on your own bill. A domestic connection, a shop and an LT industrial connection in the same sector pay differently. Guessing it here would mislead you.
