Ratlam is supplied by Madhya Pradesh Paschim Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company Limited (MPPKVVCL), the West Discom, which is headquartered in Indore. The jurisdiction map published by MP Power Management Company places Ratlam district squarely in the West zone alongside Indore, Ujjain, Dewas, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Dhar and Jhabua.
That matters because Madhya Pradesh runs three separate distribution companies. MPMKVVCL, the Central discom, works out of Bhopal and covers Gwalior, Guna, Sehore and the districts around the capital. MPPoKVVCL, the East discom, works out of Jabalpur. A page that files your Ratlam connection under the Central discom, or links you to the Bhopal portal, has sent you to a utility with no authority over your meter.
The commercial terms themselves come from the Madhya Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (MPERC), not from the discom and not from an installer. Under the MPERC framework your rooftop system is capped at your sanctioned load, and every consumer category may apply. Surplus units you export are credited against units you draw back from the grid.
